Acrobatic duo Kat & Jared: NEGOTIATION

Negotiation was born from the dance choreographer's fascination with the two circus performers' daily physical negotiation of fear and trust. On such a small surface these two bodies of very different dimensions work daily to find a common rhythm, a shared tempo, a focus and a power generation, which intertwine with the element of risk and working through that together. "Every day we join, whether we want it or not. Every day we negotiate unspoken hopes, fears and bodily sensations, whether we want it or not." Negotiation is a circus and dance performance that questions my way or your way, our borders, your limits. Accepting change and difference, the complexity of being human instead of being told by some border what is right and wrong, where you belong and where you don't, what you should feel and what not. Visually and rhythmically negotiation is a space where two physical bodies and video projections of bodies intertwine.
