Rasmus Weirup is a musician, songwriter, and performer based between Copenhagen and Berlin. He blends mystical poetry, glitching electronics, and dark, tactile harmonium drones into a sonic landscape drawing from avant-folk, chamber music, and dark electronic pop---at times chant-like and sacred, at others heavy and club-oriented. Through his compositions, lyrics, and performances, he seeks to approach the solemn intensity and heartfelt ecstasy that unite his two primary sources of inspiration: religious mysticism and decadent club culture. At URBAN 13, he will be joined by guest vocalist Jones. He is also on the verge of releasing his brand-new album, Fehrbelliner Platz.
