From a remote Far North Queensland town, to national stages across Australia, Ella Hartwig is an award winning country-folk artist whose music captures life on the road and finding connection. Her debut album “Take Me South” sold out its initial physical-only release and she has completed tours in Australia, Ireland and the U.K.
‘August River Band’ offers a wild and beautifully juxtaposed chemistry between the tortured singer-songwriter, the classically trained violinist and the hard-hitting rock and roll drummer. The main genres for August River Band are Folk Rock, Roots Rock N' Roll, alternative/Indie Rock. Celebrating their latest release ‘The Earth We Dance On’, August River Band invites you to join them and friends for a free entry welcoming night at Lefty’s Music Hall.
Joined for the for the first time is Maddison Kate. Delivering raw emotion through introspective lyrics, sweeping folk melodies, and earthy tones. Following her 2025 debut EP What I’d Say To You, she has performed at Brisbane’s iconic The Princess Theatre. Likened to Joni Mitchell by INXS’s Andrew Farriss, she’s an emerging storyteller to watch.
