Australian extreme metal cohort King Parrot are bringing their no holds barred, off kilter live experience back to the UK in September in support of their new album “A Young Person’s Guide To King Parrot”. After decimating stadiums nationwide and all over Europe opening for Pantera and Power Trip in 2025, the boys from down under are excited to announce their return with a 9 date run of headline shows all over the UK.
The new album has received a rousing reception by the metal community with tracks like “Fuck You and the Horse You Rode In On” and “It’s A Rort” and their accompanying videos being lapped up by old and new fans alike. King Parrot recently completed a monstrous 39 date US tour alongside Gwar and Soulfly and are firing on all cylinders leading up to their return to the UK and Europe.
As recent additions to festivals in Europe like Summer Dying Loud (PL), Metal!!! 2026 (CZ) and Get Lost Fest (DE) the band are putting the finishing touches on their European jaunt, but wanted to get the news of their return to the UK out immediately. Get down with the crown and shit on your liver as King Parrot come to destroy venues across the UK as only they know how!

CogTurkish or German? New Wave or Anatolian rock? The fact that Sinem Arslan Ströbel doesn’t want to choose between this or that has to do with consistent stylistic openness rather than with a lack of determination. After all, the singer–songwriter with the diverse sources of inspiration for her music is determined to turn everything inside out in the local rock hype. Together with guitarist Martin Tagar (Friends Of Gas) and Tom Wu, who is a member of the Munich art school band What Are People For?, she fused influences from the Turkish music scene with post-punk, new wave, and Anadolu pop to create a personal songbook on her debut album, ‘Köşk’. The album consists of cover versions of songs that were formative for her musical socialisation between cultures. The title of the album has many meanings in Turkish: villa, kiosk, or even castle in the air. However, it is dedicated to a cultural centre in Munich, which was also the venue for the first Sinem concert. In light of the great popularity of bands such as Altın Gün, however, it is inevitable that Sinem will soon be performing as both a soloist and band on the biggest stages in Europe – which is why she is getting her start in Hamburg in September.
