Brothætt: Ritual II – The Forgiveness is the third and final ritual in Brothætt. The work draws on anonymous confessions collected from the public, ranging from minor oversights to actions that have caused turmoil, harm or pain. The ritual takes the form of antiphonal singing by a choir divided in two, with confessions and responses of forgiveness sounding in turn. Guests are invited to take part in symbolic acts and communal singing. Together, we create a shared space where we can face our own imperfections and meet shame with gentleness and compassion.
