Ensemble Norðsól is a Nordic chamber group made up of musicians from Iceland, Sweden, and Denmark: Svafa Thorhallsdottir, soprano; Hanna Englund, baroque cello; Anne Kirstine Mathiesen, percussion instruments. At the concerts, Ensemble Norðsól performs works by Nordic composers together with music by Antonín Dvořák, Robert Schumann, and Gabriel Fauré. The program includes a journey from sunset, through the night’s hush and the dreams of night, all the way until the sun rises again the next morning.
