Calvin Love

Calvin Love, with Collect Call and Soft Top at The Folklore Rooms, Brighton, Tuesday 10 November 2026.

Calvin Love: Calvin Love is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Edmonton, Alberta, whose songs fold new wave, psych-pop and rock and roll into a shadowy, romantic sound. A restless writer and performer, Love's records move between night-drive synths, guitar-led hooks and atmospheric storytelling, with recent music including Throw My Shadow To The Sun.

Collect Call: Collect Call is a dream pop project hailing from the vibrant coastal city of Brighton, England led by multi instrumentalist Joseph Thorpe.

Soft Top: Formed in March 2023, SoftTop pools together elements of frontman Miles', and the band's influences (Andy Shauf, Matt Maltese and Steely Dan to name a few) pairing honest story-like lyrics with generous decorations from a six piece multi-instrumental band (Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards, Tumpet and Clarinet). SoftTop's music aims to pull at your heart strings, even if only very gently.
