Celebrating George Michael has been electrifying audiences across the UK and Europe, and now makes its debut in Iceland. From the infectious joy of Wham! to the soulful brilliance of George Michael’s solo work, this show is a celebration of the music, the memories, and the man behind them, performed with breathtaking precision by the exceptional Steve Mitchell.
Widely regarded as one of the most authentic George Michael vocalists anywhere, Steve delivers a performance that is powerful and heartfelt, recreating not only the songs, but the feel of a George Michael performance across different eras, sharing the timeless legacy of one of pop music’s greatest talents.
Adding authenticity to the show is Dave West, the former bass guitarist with Wham!, who worked directly with George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley on the very first recordings of Wham Rap, Careless Whisper, and Club Tropicana. Joining him in the four-piece live band are top-level professionals who have performed and recorded with some of the world’s most respected artists, including Nile Rodgers & Chic, Brian May, Simply Red, Kylie Minogue and many more.
Together with multitalented backing singers Steve Mitchell delivers a hit-packed journey, from the dance-floor anthems to signature ballads that established George Michael as a global superstar.
