The Litka Art Association presents works by its members at Reykjavík City Library, Spöngin.
The title of the exhibition, Cycle, can be interpreted in many different ways through painting. The colour palette itself can be seen as a cycle, as can the circular flow of patterns and colours. A cycle might also refer to our daily routines, the journey from birth to death, repetition, renewal or reuse.
All these ideas can be found in the paintings featured in this group exhibition, where each participating artist was given complete freedom to interpret the exhibition title in their own way.
Around 40 members of the Litka Art Association are taking part in the exhibition at Spöngin.
Litka was founded in 2009 and is open to everyone. What its members have in common is a desire to paint on their own terms, enjoy the creative process, meet others, and exhibit their work together.
