Curious about neurodiversity and the creative process? Join award-winning theatre maker James Berlyn (ARCO Co-Creator/Director) and Adam Kelly (ARCO Co-Creator/Performer) for a three-part workshop series about adapting your creative practice to suit neurodiverse artists or participants.

For artists at any age or stage of practice, this workshop series will help you refine and clarify your performance making. Gain practical tools to help you be a more inclusive collaborator, and learn how to undertake a sensory audit of your work. Spending time with Adam and James will be an inspiring and satisfying treat.

James Berlyn is a multi-award-winning performing artist, director, choreographer, curator and teacher of more than thirty-five years’ experience. With a reputation for crafting bold, inventive performances that carry both rigor and a sense of playful curiosity, James’ work blends a sharp intelligence with a genuinely generous spirit. A deep listener and thoughtful collaborator, James creates work that invites people in, and at the same time has made a career of quietly raising the work of everyone around him.

An emerging theatre artist and self-described autistic gentleman, Adam Kelly makes work marked by honesty, curiosity, and a quietly disarming sense of humour. Shaping performances that feel both deeply personal and generously open to others, Adam is known for his thoughtful approach and gentle resolve to make creative spaces more welcoming for everyone.

For performance artists and makers at any level that are curious about expanding their practice. The two online sessions will work in partnership with each other, so best to attend both if you can. The in-person session stands alone. Come to as many sessions as you can.
