New Book of Text Works by Hlynur Hallsson
You are warmly invited to the launch of TEXTAR / TEXTE / TEXTS, a new publication featuring the spray-painted text works created by artist Hlynur Hallsson between 2002 and 2026.
The 108-page book includes photographs of more than 80 works by Hlynur.
The book launch will take place at LÁ Art Museum in Hveragerði on 15 August at 2:00 pm.
Light refreshments will be served.
The book has been printed in Iceland in an edition of 300 copies, of which 100 are numbered and signed by the artist. The earliest works featured in the publication date from 2002, created for an exhibition in Marfa, Texas, while the most recent works are from this year and were exhibited at LÁ Art Museum and Leyni in Akureyri.
An exhibition of Hlynur Hallsson's work is currently on view in Gallery 4 at LÁ Art Museum and continues until 23 August 2026.
