On Akureyri Culture Night, Saturday, 29 August, at 3:00 pm, the exhibition In Touch will open in Gallery 08 at Akureyri Art Museum. Everyone is warmly welcome.

Three artists meet in a group exhibition, working with nature as a material, Inspiration and dialogue. Páll á Húsafelli forms his works in stone and paints on ice, material that carries with it stories of the land and the spirit that lives in every vein of leaves or rocks. Lene Zachariassen, who is originally from Norway but lives in Iceland, works in harmony with natural materials

where soft threads and texture become a dialogue between hand and organic material. In María Tórgarð‘s video to music by &Bartal, movement, sound, water and light are braided into poetic meditation on existence and origin.

The three artists all work with nature‘s spirit through deep sensitivity and respect. Together they form both a visible and invisible connection to nature, not least the sensitive and living notion on how art can be a bridge between man and the rest of the world – between countries, different cultures and the environment.
