Did you know that Reykjavik City Library has around 100 children books in Philippine languages? To celebrate, Filipino families are invited to a storytelling and crafts event on the 14th of November.
Teachers from InangWika: Filippseyskt móðurmálsfélag (Organization on Philippine Mother Tongues) will read from the library collection of children books in Filipino and Bisaya. The books will also be on display for people to browse and borrow.
Light refreshments will be offered.
The event is free, no need to register.
Filipino and Bisaya will be the main languages used at the event, but Icelandic and English will also be spoken.
