Winter Break Workshop – Miniature Worlds
Hafnarborg invites primary school children to participate in fun and creative workshops during the upcoming Winter Break, October 26th and 27th. These sessions are open to those who want to unleash their creativity and explore different approaches to making art. The workshops will focus on different techniques, so children are welcome to attend either or both days. The workshop is also part of the museum’s In My Language event programme.
Miniature Worlds – Multilingual Diorama-Making
Tuesday October 27th at 1-3 p.m.
Hafnarborg, in collaboration with GETA, invites participants to create their own miniature worlds out of paper, whether imaginary or based on reality. Using the technique of diorama-making, participants can cut images from magazines, draw or paint their own figures and backgrounds, or work from photographs they bring themselves. No previous experience is necessary, and participants are welcome to arrive with a fully formed idea or discover one along the way. Artists Claire Paugam and Anne Rombach will lead the workshop in French, Icelandic, English and German.
The workshop will take place on the ground floor of the museum and is open to participants of all ages and skill levels. We ask that children attend accompanied by parent(s) or guardian(s). As always, participation in workshops and entrance to the museum’s exhibitions is free of charge. Everyone welcome.
