Tuuli Rähni was born in Tallinn, Estonia, and began her music studies at the age of three. She studied piano at the Tallinn Music High School and subsequently at the Estonian Academy of Music under Prof. Peep Lassmann, a former pupil of Emil Gilels, graduating with honors in 1991. Tuuli continued her education in Germany at the Karlsruhe University of Music, where she completed her master’s degree in solo piano performance under Prof. G. Hauer and in chamber music under Prof. W. Genuit. From 1997 to 2005, she lived in Japan, performing and working as a piano teacher at the Kyoto Conservatory of Music. In 2005, Tuuli moved to Iceland with her family. She pursued organ studies at the Icelandic Academy of Church Music, graduating as both a cantor and an organ soloist under the guidance of Björn Steinar Sólbergsson. Tuuli has performed extensively across Europe, Japan, and Iceland. As an organist, she is a regular guest at the International Organ Summer in Hallgrímskirkja, Reykjavík. She has also given recitals at the Organ Summer festivals in Lüneburg, Hannover, and Bremerhaven (Germany), Hasselt (Belgium), and St. Mary’s Cathedral in Tallinn, among others. In addition to her performance career, Tuuli has composed music for the organ, recorded for German and Estonian radio and television, and released several CDs.
