✨ REYKJAVÍK DANCE FESTIVAL 2026 ✨ WE ALL FEEL IT… Reykjavík Dance Festival takes over Reykjavík from 11–15 November, filling the city with dance and performance in what has become to be known as the most exciting and trailblazing event in the dance and theatre scene in Iceland. “These robots can’t feel, but we feel for them.” Kate Darling At this year’s Reykjavík Dance Festival, you will be invited into a room, alone, with a robot dog. We know machines don’t feel. But we can’t help but feel for it. We are feeling machines. In CLAP & SLAP, Lithuanian Agnietė Lisičkinaitė and Belarusian Igor Shugaleev confront guilt and responsibility in the shadow of Russia’s war in Ukraine. They slap their own bodies until their skin turns red. We are asked to clap along. They slap. We clap. The slap doesn’t hit your body. But you feel it on your skin. In EPICLOGUE, two bodies hold, carry and expose themselves to one another. Through trust, they push towards the physically and emotionally impossible. What does witnessing such profound intimacy make you feel about your own desire for closeness? Movement creates feelings. Feelings move us. We are moved by one another.
