**Rowena Wise** is a Naarm/Melbourne singer-songwriter whose songs balance beauty and mess with rare emotional precision. Raised in Margaret River, Western Australia, by a luthier father and a Chicago-born folk musician mother, she draws on the storytelling lineage of 60s folk while grounded in indie rock and alt-folk.
Her sophomore album, *Bad Things Feel Good**, is a tender, point-blank look at transformation and what it means to be flesh and blood. Produced by Rob Muinos (Julia Jacklin, Didirri) and recorded live over three days, it debuted at **#4 on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart**. **UNCUT** gave it 8/10, hearing "a kinship with Julia Jacklin and Angel Olsen", Canada's **Spill Magazine** gave it 9/10, and it made **NPR Music**'s New Music Friday longlist, with a **FLOOD** premiere and airplay on **WFUV**.
Since debuting in 2018 she has passed 12 million streams, and the US is now her biggest audience on Spotify. Her 2024 debut, *Senseless Acts of Beauty*, was shortlisted for the **Australian Music Prize**. She has played **SXSW**, **The Great Escape** and New York's **New Colossus Festival**, and supported **The Paper Kites**, **Ball Park Music** and **Holy Holy**.
This March she brings the record to the US, from New York and Chicago to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle.
