The lecture series Samhengi welcomes Guðmundur Steinn Gunnarsson on Friday, October 9, with the lecture „Contemplations on habit formations in music“.
Guðmundur Steinn will discuss his compositional methods and wider ideas about music: microtones, thresholds and tolerance, and how noise can take on pattern and become almost meaningful. He will also touch on movement-based notation, repetition and exception, and the beauty of the rough and the everyday.
The event is open to all.
