The Bushwackers, formed in 1971, are Australia's beloved folk and country band. Led by the dynamic Dobe Newton and Roger Corbett, they have become synonymous with the heart and soul of Australian music.
Their songs are drawn from the shearing sheds in the bush with original songs such as ‘I Am Australian’ and ‘Beneath The Southern Cross’. Their foot-stomping tunes and heartfelt lyrics have united generations and truly celebrate Australia’s cultural heritage.
The Bushwackers have won three Golden Guitar Awards, created 27 studio albums, four best-selling books, been inducted into the ‘Roll Of Renown’ in 2021 and in 2024 honoured with the ‘Contribution to Folk Music Award.’
