Tu Ha? Tu Bjö!

Tu Ha? Tu Bjö! is the research project of four wind instrumentalists that has led them through unexplored territory in composition and improvisation. An agreement between different composers and furthermore different performers. The outcome could be described as a school of fish that swims in a coordinated and unified motion while still flowing freely and seemingly aimlessly. It swims in the shallows and in the deep, from the colourful coral reef down to the dark seabed.

The quartet has been busy this autumn since releasing its debut album, “Tu Ha? Tu Bjö!”, on Reykjavík Culture Night, alongside the independent label “Blaðran” (e. The Balloon). The group performed for a courageous audience at the Reykjavík Jazz Festival and subsequently at the State of the Art festival, joined by the choir Kliður. Later this winter, they will follow up on the album release with further tours across the country and a release concert in Reykjavík.

This last weekend of October, the band is performing in the East of Iceland — specifically at Sláturhúsinu in Egilsstaðir on Friday night and Tónspil in Neskaupsstaður on Saturday night. Music lovers in the East should not let these concerts pass them by.
