Uppskeruhátíð hjá Thelmu Björk fata- og textílhönnuði

Judging by her output, one might think that Thelma Björk has been in here in residence to the power of seven. This will therefore be a harvest celebration like no other.

During her residency at the Museum of Design and Applied Art, Thelma has primarily been embroidering chairs that are being restored in collaboration with upholsterer Ásdís Birgisdóttir. Thelma’s approach to embroidery can be compared to a DJ mixing music from different eras and adding new tunes, resulting in a fresh and vibrant composition.

The works is available for purchase directly from the designer. The chairs range in price from ISK 35,000 - 250,000.
