Vibe Coding and Video Games A Workshop for Families A creative workshop for families where we will experiment with “vibe coding” our own video games with the help of artificial intelligence. The goal is to use game creation as a way to strengthen AI literacy and explore how AI can help us bring our ideas to life and make an impact on the world around us. Registration: https://borgarbokasafnid.enterpriseappointments.com/v2/#book-class/service/789 During the workshop, we will also take a critical look at the technology and reflect on both its possibilities and its limitations. When does AI genuinely support creativity and problem-solving, and where does it fall short? When can it speed up the creative process, and when might it reduce originality, independent thinking, and personal expression? Thorunn Vignisdóttir leads the workshop. She has worked for many years in public libraries, both here in Reykjavík and Stockholm. She specializes in digital literacy, media literacy, and the creative use of technology with children and young people. This event is part of Soft Networks – digesting information together, a programme series supported by the Icelandic Library Fund. From 11th-18th of October, Reykjavík City Library will offer a variety of events for children and families across all eight library branches as a lead-up to Media Literacy Week.
